Constructing a data model
Building codes for data
Coding the data can be made from different types of questions below.
1. closed-ended questions
1.1 The second option, and the option to choose only one option.
Such as gender = 1 means man or one woman means.
Mean Girls 2 or 2 means men.
1.2 questions with answers to choose from several options, but the choice of configuration options are possible according to the number of options that provide answers.
For example, marital = 1 refers to a relationship.
2 represents the marriage
3 is the number
4 other means
1.3 Questions can choose multiple answer answer. The answer is that respondents can choose multiple answers by another form.
1.4 Questions to be answered by a body that is a question that has to select from. The respondents are comparable to those provided by a number of descending priority.
1.5 questions reflect the much less often is a question of asking for opinions, attitudes, satisfaction by many to reflect the opinion or satisfaction on 5 levels, most, moderately minimal or disagree, strongly disagree. just agree or strongly agree.
2. Open-ended questions
Open-ended questions are questions that investigators usually have to read and analyze it. However, for purposes of the analysis may be identified with similar or the same answer in the same way as if the reader already found the answer with the 10 different types may be identified as 1,2,3. ..., 10 were
3. The questions that are not answered
In the analysis using SPSS for windows might not provide any value. Respondents did not answer any of the questions. This program will be a period (.), Called System-missing. However, most often a value. Because you'll know why the answer is usually, there are three reasons.
Reason 1 answer some questions that need to be answered, such as giving to the other. Usually coded as 0 for variables in it.
Reason 2 Some of the questions that the respondents did not know the answer as to ask some knowledge of the respondents know the story of the person in question. Or in the family, the answer is unknown and often coded data, figure 8 or 88 or 888 or.
Reason 3 questions that respondents may fail to answer or not answer. Always question the answer to questions such as sex, age, occupation, etc. The data was coded as 9 or 99 or 999.
